Hello,
I am Karina Miotto.
My work weaves communication, education, environmental philosophy and systems thinking to inspire a new and courageous way of leading and living on Earth. I have over 20 years of experience, have lived in the Amazon, worked for major international NGOs, and have impacted hundreds of people and the planet in more than six countries across three continents.

With over 12 years immersed in Deep Ecology studies and practice, I guide changemakers through transformative learning journeys grounded in my formations at Schumacher College — having personally studied and been mentored by Stephan Harding, Satish Kumar, Joanna Macy and John Seed — and teaching this philosophy since 2014 as a Gaia Education teacher.

Curator of global events and coach for changemaker speakers, with over 14 years of experience preparing speakers in Portuguese, English, and Spanish — using techniques that unite mind and heart to craft talks that are both deeply informative and truly inspiring, and to help each speaker deliver the best talk, university lecture, or pitch of their lives.

Reconnecting With Amazon Forest
With over a decade leading Reconexão Amazônia, founded in 2014, I cultivate a living movement that fosters emotional connection with the rainforest through Deep Ecology practices and real immersion with riverside communities — a project that shaped my research on ten pathways for emotional reconnection with the biome.
Changemakers: The Courage to Transform the World was born from my own collapse and rebirth. It is the story of how loving the Earth too fiercely can lead us to exhaustion, and how returning to our center can transform the way we serve life.
In this book, I weave my path through the Amazon forest, Deep Ecology, animism and lived activism into ten grounding pathways that help you reconnect with yourself, with nature, and with your lived purpose.
Weaving memoir, I offer this book as an inspiring and practical first-aid manual for those who want to transform the world without losing themselves in the process, and as an invitation to remember that it is possible to protect the Earth, follow your calling, and remain whole, healthy, alive, and inspired along the way.
In such challenging times, to discover others ways of being a changemaker is not only possible – it´s necessary.
